Condolence meeting was organised on Friday to pay tribute to 30-year-old Aanchal Kohli

Aanchal Kohli 30-year-old women who was found dead at her apartment on Valentine’s Day.The meeting was held at the residence of her parents on Race Course, where participants also sought justice for Aanchal.Aanchal’s parents, Anil and Anjum Kohli, alleged that their daughter was murdered. Police too have registered a case of murder in this connection, but investigating all angles, including suicide. Her husband’s family, however, alleged that she had committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan.“No girl should meet the end that our daughter had.

A girl should snap ties with her husband the day he raises his hand on her for the first time, else the escalating violence would take her to the crematorium,” said Anil Kohli.Anjum Kohli, said, “Parents should not worry about what people will say when it comes to marital discord in their daughter’s life and keep her interest above everything else. There should be good understanding between parents and daughters.”According to station house officer of Rajpur police station Pradeep Rawat, “Prima facie investigation suggests that it was a case of suicide, but police are investigating all angles, including murder after registering a case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code.”The SHO further said, “The body was recovered from an apartment at Pacific Hills on Rajpur Road in the morning of February 14, where she was living with her husband Rahul Pandhi.”Raj Kanwar, an associate of her husband’s family, said, “It is a clear case of suicide and not murder. Aanchal and her husband loved each other, but it was her mother who wanted her to separate from him due to which Aanchal was under lot of stress.
