The process of online admission in class I of Kendriya Vidhyalayas of state capital would start on Wednesday. The Kendriya Vidhyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has started the process of centralized online registration for class I students for all the KVs of Dehradun.
For online registration the parents need to log in to www.darpan.kvs.gov.in. The parents would have to deposit relevant documents at the time of admissions.
The online registration for class I would start from February 08 and would end on March 10. A registration number would be provided to the parent, this number would be used to know the status of application or further communication with the school.
The KVS has started the process of centralized online admissions for the first time in Dehradun. Unlike the private schools the Kendriya Vidhyalayas the admissions are given from class I only and there is a clear cut policy of giving admission in these schools. As per the norms these schools give first preference to the wards of parents in the central government services. The children of Central government Public Sector Undertakings are provided second preference in admissions while third preference is given to students having parents working in any state government department.
The fourth preference is given to the wards of those working in autonomous bodies of state government. The students of parents working in any private organisation or self employed ones are provided last preference in the above mentioned order of merit.
The Principal of K V ONGC, Dhanraj Singh Negi said that the online admissions are accepted for admissions in class I only and in rest of other classes the admissions would be based on availability of vacancies. The parents would have to visit the schools in first week of April to know about vacancies in these classes, he informed.
