Three soldiers were martyred and an unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kashmir’sBandipora district early on Tuesday morning.
The jawans were injured after the hidden terrorists opened fire on them. The security forces fired back at the terrorists, triggering an encounter.
Earlier reports stated that five jawans were also injured in the midst of a firefight with the terrorists. The injured security force personnel have been rushed to a hospital, a police official told.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hajin area of the district after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.
