
For Dehradun, dry weather has been forecast on Thursday and Friday, said Singh, adding that the minimum temperature remained normal across Uttarakhand on Wednesday. Lowest minimum temperature 2.0°C was recorded in New Tehri.
Rain and snow would continue at several places especially in higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Thursday, said the Meteorological centre officials. Snowfall would occur at places with height 2500 m and above on January 21 and it would continue for the next two days, said the Met director Bikram Singh.
He further said that fog is likely to occur in some parts of the plains during the next 24 hours while ground frost at few places in the hills during the next 48 hours.
The weather forecast for Dehradun on Thursday is mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 22°C and 07°C respectively in Dehradun on Thursday.
Maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.2ºC (three degree above the normal) and 7.0ºC (one degree above the normal) in Dehradun respectively while it was 11.5ºC (one degree below the normal) and 2.1ºC (normal) in Mukteshwar and 16.6ºC (three degree below the normal) and 5.8ºC (normal) in Pantnagar on Wednesday. In Tehri district, maximum temperature was reported as 12.7 degree Celsius while minimum was 2.0 degree Celsius on Wednesday.
